Paris Saint-Germain coach, Christophe Galtier has criticized his players, including Kylian Mbappe, for making ‘many mistakes’ during their Ligue 1 defeat against Lens on Sunday.

Galtier also revealed that PSG lost against Lens because they conceded two avoidable goals during the encounter.

According to him, his players completely lost their organization and did not respect their game plan.

Goals from Przemyslaw Frankowski, Lois Openda and Alexis Claude Maurice gave Lens all three points against PSG.

Hugo Ekitike did score for Galtier’s side against the host.

The result means PSG are now four points ahead of second position, Lens on the French Ligue 1 table after 17 games.

“Obviously, we are disappointed. Whenever you lose, you are disappointed, but above and beyond the result itself,” Galtier said at his post-match press conference.

“I was frustrated by the way in which we played tonight. We made far too many mistakes against a Lens side that deserved their victory.

“We fell behind early but did well to equalize almost immediately. But we then conceded two very avoidable goals, especially the second one, where we were caught on the counterattack and should have been more balanced and organized.

“So we did not respect our game plan. The third Lens goal was also one of their strengths, pressing, and high up the pitch, we had to avoid playing very short passes in these situations and we had spoken about it beforehand, we had shown the players.

“We fell into the trap, so we are frustrated to concede these two goals, and then we just fell apart, we went to water. We completely lost our organization,” he added.
