Barrister Carol Dike-Okorafor, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Senatorial Candidate for Abia North has blamed the challenging security situation in Abia North on Senator Orji Uzor Kalu(OUK).

Barrister Carol made the claim on Friday during a live radio debate program organised by the Abia State Election Debate Team.

While positioning herself as the best candidate for Abia North Senatorial seat, Bar. Carol said as a lawyer, she fits in for the job and is capable of representing Abia North Senatorial district in the red chambers.

While affirming the reasons why she is the best candidate for the job, barrister Carol blamed the challenging security situation bedeviling Abia North on the lapses of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who is representing the zone in the Senate.

In her words: “As far as Abia North security is concerned, he (OUK) has done very poorly. He claimed he brought RUGA. The insecurity in umunneochi has to do with RUGA settlement he brought to Umunneochi.

“you can’t give what you don’t have, you have to be grounded in law to know what to do as a senator, it is mostly law making, that is your major assignment, the others are accessories to make laws.

“Not being a lawyer he is handicapped, he has had his challenges, as far as law making is concerned, I think he has not done very well”

Barrister Carol also believes that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has stayed too long in government.

“When a person is being there for too long, then the person doesn’t even have a feeling of being a servant anymore. Both Mao and Senator Kalu have been there for 8 years. The effect of this has not been seen in Abia North, let’s not kid ourselves, the people are still clamoring that the place is not good, if they have all spent all this time.”
