Passengers who boarded commercial vehicle of Benue Links Transport Company has been hijacked by hoodlums at Eke, along the Otukpo-Otukpa Road in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident took place at approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday, with reports indicating that the attackers robbed all the passengers before taking them into the bush. The memorial park in Ondo built to honour and immortalise the worshippers of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owo, killed in 2022 has been demolished by Ondo government. The memorial park was built by a former governor of the state, the late Rotimi Akeredolu. The cenotaph — which had the names of the victims of the attack and was located at the heart of the ancient town — was said to have been demolished on the order of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
