The members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy, Ngozi Oduh. The proceedings were initiated on Thursday morning at a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, the Majority Leader of the House. Major Jack, formally read the notice detailing allegations of gross misconduct against Governor Fubara. The notice, which was endorsed by 26 lawmakers, accused the governor of actions allegedly in violation of the Nigerian Constitution. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has again reduced its premium motor spirit price. CANDID REPORTERS gathered that NNPCL retail outlets have reduced their fuel price to N815 per liter, down from N835. This means that the NNPCL filling stations cut their price by N20. The fresh price has been implemented at NNPCL filling stations in Wuse Zone 6 and 4 Abuja, Keffi-Abuja Road, and Kubwa Expressway.
