In a heartfelt tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, Abia State Liaison Officer to the National Assembly, recently joined the state Governor Dr Alex Otti, Government officials, members of the State Legion, and distinguished citizens to commemorate the Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the iconic Aguiyi Ironsi Cenotaph in Umuahia.

This poignant event honored the bravery and unwavering strength of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for Nigeria’s unity, peace, and security.

During the event, Chief Chinasa reaffirmed his commitment to supporting veterans’ welfare and the families of fallen heroes, emphasizing the importance of preserving the values of patriotism, courage, and service.

According to him, “The Armed Forces Remembrance Day serves as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to uphold the sacrifices of these heroes by working towards a more peaceful and prosperous nation.”

The federal government sets aside 15 January of every year to recognize and pay homage to the bravery of Nigeria’s military heroes who lay down their lives fighting for the nation.
