Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido (David Adeleke) is set to headline Clifford University’s 6th Convocation Ceremony as the keynote speaker, bringing star power and inspiration to the graduating class.

Known for his global musical acclaim and deep philanthropic roots, Davido’s presence marks a significant moment in the university’s history.

Beyond entertainment, he has consistently championed youth empowerment and access to education in Nigeria.

The new female hostel, named after Dr. Veronica Imade Adeleke, serves as a lasting tribute to his mother’s legacy and symbolizes the Adeleke family’s commitment to academic growth and student welfare.

The project is backed by Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who is sponsoring scholarships for 500 students, further reinforcing the family’s dedication to educational development.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Chimezie Omeonu, described the convocation as a “milestone event,” praising the graduating students and celebrating the university’s ongoing progress.

He noted that Davido’s appearance will inspire students and underscore the importance of giving back to society.
