Abia Online Media Practitioners, an umbrella body of Online Media Practitioners (OMPAN), has fixed November 16 to 19, 2021, as her Annual Meeting cum Bloggers Week with the theme: Impact of Social Media on Governance (The Abia Perspective).
A statement issued to newsmen in Umuahia jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo and the Secretary, Izuchukwu Nwokoma, said the event which will span four days, will have the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as the Special Guest of Honour while Chief Sir. Uzo Ihuka will be the Chairman of the occasion.
A breakdown of event indicates that , Tuesday 16th November, 2021 will be the arrival of visiting Bloggers /Training at Evergreen Hotels, Umuahia, 17th to 18th will involve a tour of the Governor’s Projects in the State by Bloggers.
The statement added that there will be media interaction with the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu on 18th evening while the Annual General Meeting will hold on Friday November 19th, 2021 at Micheal Okpara Auditorium by 12 noon prompt.
Guest Lecturer is Innocent Paschal (Ph.D), Department of Mass Communication, Abia State University, Uturu, who will do justice to topic.
The Statement urged Abians, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Chapter, the Academia, government officials to participate in the Blogger’s Week as it promises to be explosive.
