Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has commended Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, the Governor of Abia State for the successful conduct of the Local Government elections.

Describing the exercise on Sunday, he said it was peaceful, free and fair, Chief Chinasa noted that the successful conduct of the election signposts the true emergence of a grassroots democratic culture that will impact positively on rural Abia dwellers.

While congratulating the Governor for providing a level playing field for all political parties during the election, Chief Chinasa extended heartfelt congratulations to Deacon Uwabunkeonye Bassey and Mrs. Ngozi Anya of Zenith Labour Party(ZLP) for emerging victorious as Chairman and Deputy Chairman-elect of Bende Local Government Area respectively.

He appreciated the people of Bende for turning out in their numbers to participate in the election and subsequently congratulated them for their confidence in and support for the joint ticket of Deacon Uwabunkeonye Basey and Ngozi Anya, which resulted in their emergence as council leaders of the area.
