The caucus of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Abia State on Thursday re-affirmed and reinforced the enforcement suspension of Ikechi Emenike, a member of the All progressive Congress.
The suspension was revealed during the expanded caucus meeting held at Ikwuano, Abia state.
The event was chaired by Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, the minister of Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development.
The event was also attended by top APC chieftain such as Hon Benjamin Kalu, Hon Chijioke chukwu.
The suspension of Chief Emenike was announced by the chairman of the All progressive Congress, Chief Donatus Nwankpa and also affirmed by the Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, the acting chairman of the caucus.
In his words: “This is the first policy statement of the party, the congress will still hold on Saturday 31st July,2021 at the various wards , that is the 184 wards in Abia state. We don’t want anybody that will destroy our party. We are going to take over Abia. Today, the state executive council re-affirms the suspension of Ikechi Emenike from Abia State APC.
Chief Donatus also debunked the fear that the congress will be highjacked in the state and added that the biggest interest of the party is to win election and occupy the government house of the state.
“The biggest trophy in Abia state is the government house and everything APC is doing in the state is to take over the sit of the governor come 2023 by strategy and popular support” Chief Donatus added.
The suspension was also re-echoed by Sampson Ogah. He stood in the absence of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who was said to be engaged in other serious meetings.
Hon Benjamin Kalu on his part commended the leadership of Chief Donatus Nwankpa and the executive team who he said “tirelessly work for the party and whose time the party has progressed, won various political positions and many appointments took place.
The event was eel atended by other party faithfuls.
