The National Assembly Liaison Officer Hon Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has formally welcomed Hon Nnamdi Ibekwe, member representing Bende North State Constituency and other high profile defectors from Bende to the Labour Party.

Speaking on the heels of the announcement of the defections, Hon Chinasa hailed the decision of the former high ranking members of the PDP to join forces with Governor Alex Otti in working towards the speedy transformation of the state.

According to Hon Chinasa, “Today marks a significant milestone for our party. The defection of Hon Ibekwe to our party is an attestation to the stallion performance of Governor Otti in the state and particularly in Bende.”

Continuing, he said, “On behalf of our party leaders in Bende I also welcome the former Commissioner for Boundary Matters, Hon Mascot Obike and Chief Titus Okoronkwo and subsequently enjoined them to partner us in working for the speedy transformation of Bende as currently being facilitated by Governor Otti.”
