We, the people of Bende, are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude as we receive the news of the completion and commissioning of the 46-kilometer Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara-Alayi-Abriba road today 11 April 2025 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Without any doubt this monumental achievement lends credence to the unwavering commitment of the Abia State government under Dr Alex Otti to the development and prosperity of our people.
As the road traverses our ancestral lands at Uzuakoli, Alayi, Item, and Igbere, we are particularly thrilled about the immense benefits this infrastructure will bring to our local economy. The road will not only facilitate the transportation of our agricultural produce to markets but also boost trade and commerce, creating new opportunities for our people.
Ndi Bende therefore wish to express our deepest appreciation to the Governor for this remarkable achievement. Your dedication to the welfare and progress of our people is evident in this project, and we are grateful for your vision and leadership.
We are confident that this road will be a game-changer for our community, and we look forward to maximizing its socio-economic benefits to the fullest.
Once again, thank you to the Abia State government for this gift to the good people of Bende.
Hon Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, MBA
National Assembly Liaison Officer,
Leader of Labour Party in Bende
