A 200 level Medical laboratory student, Ibeawuchi Marshal of the Abia State University, Uturu has met his death,on Monday while involved in sports activity at the schools pavilion field.

The deceased was reportedly said to be the only son of his parents, allegedly said to be asmatic was recreating in a football match at the school’s pavilion where he did a back flip to celebrate his victory which resulted to him having Intracranial pressure (hitting his head on the ground).

Candidreporter.com gathered that late Ibeawuchi Marshal was reportedly rushed to the Medical centre and all efforts done to revive him was proved abortive as as no vital signs could be obtained,this is to show that he was dead before arrival to the clinic as stated my the Medical Director. He was certified dead at the clinic.

The University’s SUG Executives where said to have arrived the scene, where the President; Comr Nwakanma John contacted his family took the deceased to a mortuary with the family members at Umuahia where he made some payment.

The SUG president in his spee6 said, “Truly, this is very aweful and we urge the students to continue to maintain a peaceful environment as we mourn our own (Ibeawuchi Marshal).

‘We therefore sympathise with the bereaved and the entire student most especially, Department of Medical laboratory Science, ABSU. We pray that the Almighty God gives us the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Meanwhile, there are reactions from some students that late Ibeawuchi Marshal died due to urgently medical attention from the school’s health system.

It was also alleged that the schools ambulance was out of fuel to take the deceased to a standard hospital for medical attention.
