Reports made available to candidreporters.com has it that the deputy governor of Abia state who is contesting the 2023 governorship election reportedly broke down in tears while pleading with the elected 3 Man Adhoc delegates from Abia North extraction to vote for him.

During the said meeting which held at Umahia residence of the former SSG, Dr. Eme Okoro, the delegates were said to have rejected his plea insisting that he has done nothing for them and the zone from when he was the speaker down to this moment, they said he only came to them because he wants to become governor and called him an unproductive and selfish politician.

The report also has it that one of the delegates Hon. Ikerionwu Okarimea from Bende, told him that they can’t vote for him because he has done nothing to merit their vote and that Bende delegates has taken a decision to vote for Prof. Uchenna Ikonne. The deputy governor was said to reportedly broke down in tears and promised to change if they vote for him.

Candidreporters.com reached out to the Chief press secretary to the Deputy governor, Obasi Onwuka who in a telephone conversation debunked the report and gave his position.
